The ever hot Surveen Chawla is a small screen actor on Indian Television. She was born and brought up in Chandigarh in a Punjabi business family. Till class 10, she wanted to practice medicine but took up commerce in her 12th and then pursued her graduation in English from the Chandigarh College for Women.
Sexy lady Surveen moved to Mumbai to make a career is acting despite reluctance from her family. Mumbai – the city of opportunities welcomed her with open arms. Within just a few days of moving to the city, she auditioned for Balaji and was selected to play the role of Charu in Kahin To Hoga.
She next starred in the popular serial Kasauti Zindagi Kay as Kasak. She got a chance to play the lead role in the serial Kaajal. Surveen joined the dance reality show Ek Khilari Ek Haseena where she was paired with the cricketer S. Sreenath. She has also been an excellent host for the showComedy Circus Ke Superstar on Sony Tv.
Surveen has done a few movies as well – Carry on Pandu in 2009 opposite to Ranvir Shorey, Parameshawar Panwala (Kanada) and Dharti (Punjabi) with Jimmy Shergil. For Dharti she was awarded the PTC Punjabi Film award for best Female Debut. She has also acted in Hum Tum Shabana and Himmatwala.
Surveen claims that her family has been a great support to her. She says that whatever she is today it is because of her family. The Punjabi girl is very practical. She says that film industry is a make believe world. The reality is not what one sees. The reality is completely different. The film industry is a difficult world though people may think it as a world of glamour and glitz. There is a lot of hard work required, artists have a tight schedule and they have to work odd and log hours.
Her upcoming projects are a Punjabi movie which she is doing with Gippy Grewal. She is also filming Vikram Bhatt’s movie Hate Story 2 as well as Anurag Kashyaps’s movie UGLY. She is very happy and excited that Ballewood (Punjabi film industry) is rising. The film Hate Story 2 is one of the boldest movies in Bollywood in which Surveen Chawla is gaining a lot of attention by replacing the Bengali actor Paoli.
